Penstemon hirsutus

Hairy Beardtongue will thrive in a wide range of conditions, from full sun to mostly shade, to moderately moist to dry soil.  It has light purple, tubular-shaped flowers in May-June, and at a height of only 2’ it is shorter than many of the other Beardtongues.  Many pollinators, especially bees, enjoy Hairy Beardtongue.
