Penstemon cobaea
Although showy Penstemon is not native to the Driftless Area, it is an excellent addition to your garden due to its large, pink tubular flowers on 2’ tall stems.   It prefers full to part sun, dry soil, and attracts a variety of bees & bumblebees.  
Often short-lived but readily re-seeds.
