Symphyotrichum oblongifolius
Aromatic Aster has a bushier habit than most other asters and is only about 2’ tall.  It prefers full sun and average to dry, well-drained soil, with purplish-blue flowers from late August to October.  Bees, butterflies, moths, and skippers enjoy the nectar & pollen.
